As some of you know, I've just been in France with As some of you know, I've just been in France with Lords of Tram doing grown up stuff. Every day I walked into the accommodation to be greeted by this poster which if you know my past a little would make you smile. It made me smile... Decades ago together with Stella Konik, I had the privilege of touring extensively with a show singing Jacques Brel's songs. (I know, it sounds surreal) By choice I never performed in France and Belgium, the cradle of Brel's success. It was a choice out of respect and fear of being crucified by a public that would compare me to him. These last few years, in a very relaxed atmosphere I have ended up singing a few of his songs to a French audience and was surprised at their reaction... I have been to many reserves in my life, but the Okavango is indeed a special place, maybe it's the fact that you can view so many animals from a boat, maybe it's because mass tourism hasn't destroyed it. I get left with this intense feeling of privilege to have experienced it the way I did. And that is all the merit of the amazing team at Okavango River Safaris.
